Weekly Parent Bulletin (Aug 29, 2022)
Hello Nestle Neutrons, I hope you're enjoying the weekend. We are looking forward to a 4 day weekend ahead. School is closed this Friday, September 2 thru Monday, September 5 to celebrate Labor Day and California Admissions Day. School resumes on Tuesday, September 6th. This coming Tuesday, August 30th, Nestle will have Back to School from 3:00pm-4:00pm. There will be 2 sessions. Session 1 will be from 3:00-3:30pm and Session 2 will be 3:30-4:00pm. Immediately following Back to School, there will be a PTA meeting in the auditorium at 4:00pm. Thank you to the new PTA Board for supporting Nestle and starting the year off with great plans. We are currently holding the PTA fundraiser and Donation Drive. The PTA is asking $300 from each family to support programs for Nestle students. The money raised goes to busses for field trips, Psychomotor Program, Music teacher, Art Teacher, STEM program, murals, Shade Covering for the lunch area, Shade Covering for the play structure. Unfortunately, the school district does not pay for these extras, so schools like ours, rely on our parents and fundraisers to make up the difference. Thank you to those families who have already donated. 1. The classroom in each grade level with the most donations will receive a POPSICLE PARTY! 2. The classroom with the most family donations will receive a PIZZA and POPSICLE PARTY and a CLASS BANNER for their collective accomplishment! 3. The top 3 teachers with the most donations (percentage of class participating) will each receive a $100 Amazon gift card! The deadline for these contests is Friday, October 7th. At this time, Rooms 2, 9, 12 and 27 are tied for the lead. Thanks for your attention and I hope to see you all at Back to School. Children are welcome to attend.
