Nestle News (August 18, 2025) Weekly Parent Bulletin

Dear Nestle Families,

What a fantastic start we had on Thursday and Friday! It was so wonderful to see so many of you on campus with your children, and even more heartwarming to watch our students leave with huge smiles, excited to show and tell you about what they made or received.

While many students left happy, we know that after those first few days, some children begin to realize that going to school is more than just a one-time event, and their initial excitement may start to fade. Please know that this is completely normal.

In addition, we also know that some students may feel a bit sad if their friends are placed in other classes. These moments, while challenging, are opportunities for children to build strength, adaptability, and resilience. These are important life lessons that will serve them well beyond school. As parents, it’s natural to want to step in and solve every problem for our children, but often these are situations they can handle with guidance and encouragement, and doing so helps them grow more confident and capable.

With your continued support at home—encouraging them to do their best, to learn as much as they can, and to be kind and respectful to everyone—they will continue to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Nestle community. We look forward to a wonderful week ahead filled with learning, growth, and positive connections!

Warmly,

Jennifer DiLorenzo

Principal, Nestle Elementary
