Nestle News (August 17, 2026) Weekly Parent Bulletin
Dear Nestle Families,
After a great first week, our students are settling into their classrooms, getting to know their teachers and classmates, and learning new routines. As we begin Week 2, we will continue focusing on creating classrooms where every student feels safe, welcomed, valued, and excited to learn.
For our youngest students, Week 2 can sometimes be a little different from the first few days. They may begin to realize that school is not just a new adventure, but something they are expected to do every day. The excitement we saw on the first day may fade, and some children may feel tired, miss home, or have a harder time saying goodbye. Please know that this is completely normal. Keep reassuring your child, reminding them that they are safe, loved, and capable, and help them feel confident about coming to school each day.
A few important reminders:
• Please make sure all required beginning-of-the-year paperwork has been completed and returned, especially your child's emergency card information. Keeping contact information current helps us keep students safe and reach families quickly when needed.
• Families may use their own group chats or other communication platforms to connect with one another. Please remember that these are not sponsored or monitored by LAUSD or Nestle. Student information is confidential, and we ask everyone to respect the privacy of students, families, and staff.
Thank you for partnering with us and helping make Nestle a welcoming and supportive community for every child. We are excited for a wonderful year ahead!
Warmly,
Principal DiLorenzo
