Parent Bulletin (February 21st, 2022) Nestle Ave ES
Update on Mask Requirements for Students
Dear Families: I am writing to share current information about mask requirements for Los Angeles Unified students and staff. Everyone on campus is required to wear a well-fitting, non-cloth mask of multiple layers with a nose wire or a reusable cloth mask with a particle filtration efficiency of at least 95% while indoors. Effective Tuesday, February 22nd, outdoor masking will be optional for Los Angeles Unified Schools. If your child will be wearing a cloth mask to school, please ensure the mask complies with the standards listed on the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s website: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/masks/. Our school has disposable, surgical-style masks that meet District requirements should your child need one. Everyone on campus must be masked at all times while indoors. Eating and drinking indoors should happen distanced from others. If you have questions or need support, please contact the school, 818-342-6148.
Good Evening Nestle Neutrons, I hope everyone is enjoying the 3 day weekend. School is closed on Monday for President's Day and resumes Tuesday. Tuesday is an early dismissal day at 1:38. There are several parent meetings this week. Wednesday: a Parent Workshop with Betsy Braun Brown: Communication at Home. Also on Wednesday: ELAC meeting at 9:00am. On Thursday, there is an ELPAC Meeting at 9:00am and our PSW is presenting a workshop called: Navigating Anxiety at 9:00am. On Friday, I am hosting Coffee with the Principal at 10:00am. I will be discussing our Budget Allocations and a Needs Assessment. Zoom information is available in the Bulletin or log onto the Nestle website at www.nestleavecharter.com. The District has made a change to our masking mandates. Staff and Students now have the option to forego wearing masks OUTSIDE. Masking is still required of EVERYONE inside. School will provide hospital grade masks for students and staff for use inside.
