this is Ms. Gray, Principal of Nestle.

Just a reminder Monday hours are different. (See Bulletin)

This is the last week of the school year.

It has been a very challenging year for all of us and I know we are all looking forward to some time off to rest and try to get back to some semblance of a normal life.

I want to congratulate our 5th graders who will be matriculating to Middle School in the fall. We will have 5 separate ceremonies this week to follow District guidelines for in-person events.

Wednesday,

Mr. Weatherman's class will matriculate at 9:00am and 12:00pm,

Thursday,

Ms. Maggin's class will matriculate at 9:00am and 12:00pm

Friday

Ms. Van's class will matriculate at 9:00am

Students are allowed only 2 guests who must have RSVP'd and show proof of a recent NEGATIVE Covid test.

Cohort B students

must also show proof of a NEGATIVE recent Covid Test.

(Recent meaning within 7 days of the ceremony).

Free Covid tests can be obtained at Portola MS and Taft HS Monday-Wednesday from 7:30am to 3:00pm, no appointments necessary.

Free Covid testing is also available at Pierce College, with no appointments needed.

Free Covid testing is also available at Nestle on Friday for students who will attend Nestles Beyond the Bell Summer Program, which starts June 14th, all day from 8:00-6:00pm.

Academic Summer School will be at Encino Elementary for Nestle Students who have been referred.

please call the office tomorrow, 818-342-6148.

We will hold Awards Assemblies tomorrow at 8:30 for Cohort A and at 12:00 for Cohort B. Awards will be given for April and May for Student of the Month and Extraordinary Effort.

To the Los Angeles Unified School Community,

On Monday, June 7^th, we’ll take a closer look at work to create world-class school facilities, check in on the vaccination efforts at schools, give a quick update on summer school and talk about two exciting new projects. A pilot effort to raise the standard of environmental safety in schools and a plan to create affordable housing for teachers and staff to allow them to live in the communities they serve.

The update will air at 8 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. on KLCS and can be found on Los Angeles Unified’s website.
