To the Los Angeles Unified School Community,

On Monday, May 3rd, we’ll celebrate an historic milestone. After more than a year of extraordinary challenges due to the crisis created by the COVID-19 virus, all schools in Los Angeles Unified are now open and welcoming students back. I’ll share some highlights on school reopening and thoughts on where we go from here.

The update will air at 8 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. on KLCS and can be found on Los Angeles Unified’s website.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Austin Beutner
Superintendent

Hello Nestle Neutrons,
this is Ms. Gray, Principal of Nestle.

Just a reminder:
Monday hours are different. (See Bulletin)

We are entering our 4th week of School Re-Opening and students are enjoying being back at school. Teachers are excited to see their students and our staff is working hard to ensure everyone's safety.

This week . . .
Please join me tomorrow morning (Cohort A) at 8:30am for our Awards Assembly and again at 12:00pm for Cohort B.
Students will receive awards for Student of the Month and Extraordinary Effort for February and March.

Teacher Appreciation Week!
I hope you will take a moment to show your appreciation for our teachers.
I want to thank teachers and our Classified Staff for making our school opening so smooth and for taking such great care of our students.

Tuesday,
there will a PTA Association Meeting at 6:30pm.

Thursday,
there will be an Individual Reclassification Plan meeting for parents of English Language Learners from 1:00-2:00. Please see all the links in the Parent Bulletin.

The Mobile Testing Unit will be at Nestle on Thursday, May 6th.
If your child attends Cohort A, In-Person school, make sure they come to school on Thursday, and please try not to pick them up early on that day.
At this time, Covid tests will be good for 2 weeks, and the Testing Unit will come every other week.

Our online SPRING BOUTIQUE fundraiser starts on Monday.
With your help, we will be raising much needed funds for enrichment classes and events not covered by LAUSD.
We are asking every family to participate. We will reach our goal when each student registers and shares the fundraiser with 5 or more supporters.
Please register your student at
ShopFund.com

We are counting on these funds for the benefit of every child. The funding does not come from other sources, so your participation at any level is critical.
Thank you for your help and support.

Thank you for reading and,
Keep helping us,
help your child,
become . . .
"Fundamental to what Matters!"
