To the Los Angeles Unified School Community,

This is an exciting time. Tomorrow, on Monday, April 19^th, we’ll share more about schools reopening all over the Los Angeles area. I’ll also provide an update on some of the ongoing work to help students learn while we continue to provide a safety net to the communities we serve.

The update will air at 8 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. on KLCS and can be found on Los Angeles Unified’s website.

COVID FAQ - Testing & Masks (2021-04-19)

Hello Nestle Neutrons,
this is Ms. Gray, Principal of Nestle.

Last week,

we began our Cohort A (in-person school) and Cohort B (remote instruction). It's great having students at school again and we are taking all precautions to ensure everyone's safety.

Boys and girls did a great job keeping their masks on and following our safety procedures. Thank you for that boys and girls.

Thanks to the staff for their hard work making in-person school safe for everyone.

This week . . .

Our Monday schedule is slightly different.

On Mondays only,

school is 2.5 hours rather than 3 hours for both in-person and remote school so that staff can have professional development.

This was a result of the agreement between LAUSD and UTLA, the teacher's union.

Monday's Schedule:

Pre-K, TK, Kinder and 1st grades start school at 8:00am, and ends at 10:30, Cohort B, remote instruction starts at 11:30 and ends at 2:00pm.

Grades 2,3,4,5

starts in-person at 8:15 and ends at 10:45. Cohort B, remote instruction begins at 11:45, and ends at 2:15.

This schedule applies to Monday's ONLY, and we'll return to our regular Cohort A & B schedule for Tuesday's thru Friday's.
