Nestle Elementary & Preschool Re-Opening Week of April 12th
Good afternoon, Parents and Guardians.
I hope that you and your family are well and safe. Because of our safety protocols, and declining COVID rates, I am excited to announce our school will be reopening the week of April 12th. Our school is ready with all health and safety protocols in place, so we will be starting one week earlier than many other Los Angeles Unified preschools and elementary schools.
To ensure a smooth transition, we are reopening grade by grade, and with staggered start times.
- Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 13.
- Grades 2-3 will begin at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 14,
- Grades 4- 5 will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 15.
Please note that these start times of 8, 8:15 and 8:30 a.m.
will be in effect for the remainder of the school year.
If you have not yet done so, please complete the Program Selection Form at reopening.lausd.net/en/SpringRC.
Letting us know whether your child will be returning to school or remaining online will help us plan for the rest of the school year.
If your child will be returning to school, he or she must take a COVID test within a week of the start of school and must have a negative result. Los Angeles Unified provides free COVID tests for students and their families at dozens of school sites around the district. Please use your Parent Portal account to log onto the Daily Pass website to schedule your child’s test. If you need any assistance at all, do not hesitate to call our offices at 818-342-6148
Or the District's helpline For families: (213) 443-1300
We look forward to welcoming our students back to a safe learning environment!
