Parent Bulletin 2019-2020: March 16-20
Greetings Nestle families!
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for successfully getting through a tough week for all of us.
School is closed for at least 2 weeks.
I hope you are all being safe and staying in except for food runs and to get medicines. We should all be taking the Corona Virus seriously and practicing safe behavior to avoid contracting and /or spreading the virus.
Students were given packets of work on Friday. Some of the work is traditional paper but most of the assignments in grades 1-5 are online.
Students were instructed on how to access Schoology and they were given their password and some were given QR codes. It is crucial that students do some work while they are off.
Those without computers or laptops may access learning on KLCS TV, which is LAUSD’s television channel.
Also, please read the bulletin for details about an offer of free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription.
Those students who are in orchestra are being offered free lessons online from our orchestra vendor, Children’s Music Workshop.
Lastly, thank you to teachers and staff who worked tirelessly in just a few days to put together lessons for our students. I am required to be at school on Monday 16th, from 7:00-10:00am.
I will open the office at 7:30 to pass out work packets to parents whose children were absent on Friday.
Students who came to school on Friday already received theirs. If you have not done so, please come and pick up your packet by 10:00am. Your child may fall behind if they do not do any work, so please monitor their compliance.
Thank you for reading
and keep helping us,
help your child,

"Fundamental to what Matters!"
